Would I be silly to dab wood glue in pocket?

Ive got a new Ibanez on the way. Rg1620x. In the past, all the Ibanez's I have owned have had semi sloppy neck pockets and would go outta tune rather easily with some shifts and such.

Would I pretty much ruin things if I dabbed some high potency wood glue in there to avoid any shifting? Would that neck ever come off again?!?!

I just want to rememdy any tuning instability problems before they come up!

Don't glue it. Shim it where needed, or use fine mesh screen to tighten up the pocket.

Don't do it. If anyone ever needs to remove the neck someday, breaking the neck loose will take big chunks of wood out of the pocket.
There's no need to glue the neck pocket on a modern guitar.

shim it if you need to with a strip of 220 grit sandpaper. that'll help it bite a bit if needed.

A buddy of mine used thin double-sided tape in the neck pocket of his Malmsteen Strat. (he likes to sling it around his body like Yngwie does)
Can't vouch for it myself, but he contends that it is rock solid and easily reversible.

Thanks for the advice guys. I wasnt sure if putting glue on a 700$ guitar was a smart idea or not!
