Replacing the nut on my SLATTXMG3-7

Hello everyone,
I want to replace the nut on my 2013 SLATTXMG3-7 because the previous owner file the seventh string's slot too wide to accommodate an eight string set (Yes, I know, terrible idea).
I'm not a luthier, but I have all the right tools and want to waste (or maybe I should say invest) 15 bucks on a new Tusq XL nut.
If I screw it up, I'll bring it to a luthier anyway.
Would this pre slotted nut be good for my needs?
there seem to be only two black nuts by Tusq Graphtech that look like the original Jackson.
Any advice would be appreciated.

As you have said it's the right nut for your guitar, as I can't see well right now and don't mess with seven strings, I do replace nuts on pricey guitars. Go with it

Tusq XL is the right height for the first fret, it's math
