Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Will it cause permanent relief in the neck if I ship a neck fully loosened like the buyer wants?

i usually just loosen the string 1/2 a step to remove the tension....seems a bit extreme to loosen the truss all the waay.Comment

I wouldn't touch the rod. If there is no rod tension and it goes through a couple of different temperatures, it can do some funky stuff.Comment

Same here,loosening the truss-rod is totally unnecessary when shipping a neck & Jim is absolutely right,if that neck goes thru temp extremes it can move.....alot!!Comment
