Just wondering what it would take to straighten a neck. My mom has one of the most beautiful acoustics, but she took it back east and down south with her band without protecting it. It is now warped to hell, and I can't hardly stand to play it. Tuning is also quite the adventure.

Problem with truss rod adjustment: most acoustics don't even have 'em! Not to mention, I don't know enough on how to adjust the truss rod, I don't dare. If somebody could post some tips on that, that would be cool too.Comment

sully restored a Firebird a while back and posted a link to his fine pictorial on his website. The project included fixing a twisted neck. That was on an electric, but maybe it applies to an acoustic as well.

yeah, that firebird is actually sitting with primer on it now. it should be shot (with color.... eh, or a gun, either or!) this week.
you can heat press them, but it's no guarantee at all.
