<font color="aqua"> Ok, I took a chance on this project awhile back and just now finally got pics to show. What I did was, took an old model one neck, which wasn't the prettiest thing, and put it on a milling machine and cut grooves in the edges for the binding. Yup, I cut through the ends of the frets and all! (sorry, no pics of that, I'm already kicking myself !) It worked very well but I ended up doing the headstock the old fashioned way, by hand . As you can see, I did the binding over the frets and yes, it's tedious work as those who do this professionally know very well. It's not a pro job but not bad at all really. Last but not least, I put the side dots in using white cylindrical material from stew mac.
I always wanted a maple neck with the black binding and I think it looks great. Sorry about the crappy indoor pics but let me know what ya think!
