About floyds, anyone ever notice this?

If you look at your headstock carefully as you depress your floyd, the headstock will move slightly up and then back down as you release the floyd? Is this normal?

do you trem without / with open locknut ?

it is still putting pressure on the nut-it is doing the same thing as if you do "headstock bends".

Sounds like the neck is moving back with less string tension, and you are thinking it is just the headstock moving. Maybe??? [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

If I tied a string around your neck and pulled, you would move too.

As long as the movement is not extreme, it is completely normal. As you add and remove tension, the neck will move.
