L-500L/L-500XL... again.

Ok I have a question.

I am thinking of getting one of these, I want to know how they compare to a EMG 81?
I don't care if they have a clean tone, I rarely use cleans, I just want a nice thick(Tech Deathy) kind of tone with articulation. Any of you have sound clips of one?

I don't have any sound clips, but I think that the L500XL is as close as you can get to an EMG 81 for a passive pickup. Great pickup! I'm thinking about throwing a set into my 87 arch top.

those two are the closest passive pups to an 81 [img]/images/graemlins/notworthy.gif[/img]
