Planet waves has a strap with a built-in locking gismo that locks to your basic strap peg. I dont particularly like it, but its innovative.
I would like to know how well those Dimarzio Clip-Lok straps work. They seem like a good design, but trusting my guitar to a little plastic clip is a bit scary.
Straplocks are only as good as your strap. I had a cheapo strap RIP OUT of my Dunlop straplocks. The button and lock mechanism stood there like a rock, but the hole on the leather part of the strap stretched to about quarter size.
I guess the bottom line is, Straplocks are like Gun safetys. Dont rely on them wholeheartedly.
