      I've been wanting to try a Kahler for the longest now, but haven't had the chance yet. Need to buy a few beater guitars and mess with it. Which model is close to the floyd in the sense that you can pull up just as much as go down on the bar?

        I'm a Floydian from day 1, so "normal" Kahlers feel strange to me. Plus, I'm of the opinion that the simpler the better - there's less TO get gummed up in a floyd design, and so when they're funky they still work well.

        Having said all that, probably the best Floyd ever made was the Kahler Steeler... ;-)
