Flamed maple...

On one of my guitars i noticed when looking down at the neck while playing its flamed. It's not very noticable though while in stand. I am wondering what kinda finish would i need to bring out the flame on the neck?

Flame moves. Depending what angle you're looking at it from and what light you're exposing it to, it will appear different.

I tried this a few years ago on a neck and it worked wonders...stain it with coffee, then put on some oil.

Damn, that coffee made a huge difference. Looks very badass, I want a guitar to try that on now, lol. It's the simple stuff like this that I get a kick outta I tell ya.
