I'd prolly try shooting some clear over it, the type they use to obtain the vintage look on necks.

I also heard that coffee would do the trick. I like the aged yellowed look as well, I have a few that we white but are more creme now.

I agree with the sunlight/UV lamp. That is the best looking way to do it. Shaders never look right.
