instaling a strap button on the heal if a bolt on

Sorry this is a second post in a diffrent forum but I wanted to know if instaling a strap button on the heel of a bolt on neck will do damage to the neck. Any help is great. Thanks in advance.

No, other than making an extra screw hole.

The best way is to make a hole in the neck plate and screw the strap button straight through it.
