finish crack is it deadly?

I just got a dk1 and noticed I have a 1/4 inch finish crack right at the end of the body where the neck is. Basically where the body ends. If I leave it alone will it stay the way it is or you think its going to spread and get deeper? Is there a way to fix this?

you mean in the pocket? or sides of the pocket like a stress crack? that is usually from a shift or possible overtightening of the neck bolts.

yea the side of the pocket right where the wood gets really thin to about the thickness of a matchbook. Its only on one side.

That little crack is a bad thing bro! It is a sure sign that the guitar is made out of painted wood! Beware!!!
