how hard is it to wire up a 1x12 speaker cab?

I see a old vintagy 1x12 speaker cab with no speaker. I want to buy it and a speaker and set it up. How hard would it be to do?

My head is a Fender Rock Pro, I believe it uses 8ohms.

It'd be simple. Get an 8 ohm speaker, wire the - on the speaker to the ring on the jack, and the + of the speaker to the tip of the jack.
