On my NOS brass v-trem, the string spacing is 2 3/16". Is this considered "F" (Fender) spacing? I've noticed that on a neck with a 2 1/8" heel, the E strings fall off at the higher frets pretty easily. Did they make one with more narrow spacing?

Re: vintage trem string spacing question
YOu want a trembucker ("F spaced" In Dimarghzi-speak) if your e-strings are 2" or farther apart, center to center...
So in this case: YES
AFAIK there are no replacement trems for a USA Hole spacing with a narrower string spacing....you could put an Import bridge on,but you´d have to redrill the holes....

Re: vintage trem string spacing question
Thanks! That is interesting. I was under the impression that people specifically chose v-trems on stratheads to avoid the issue caused by having a Floyd trem on a guitar with a 2 1/8" heel (E's pulled off the fretboard easily). But it turns out the Floyd's spring spacing (2 1/8") is even less than that of a v-trem (2 3/16"). What a newb I am!
