  • Solid State Power Amp Problem

I have a DIgitech G300 "hafler" solid state power amp.

About 6 years ago I was playing and it popped and started smoking. I think the speaker cable I was using was bad.

The left side works fine. The right side is dead.

Any ideas? Would it be worth it to repair it?

    Thanks.

Most likely a n output transistor. Probably other minor damage too.

      Are those expensive?

      Easy to find?

Worth the repair if I cant do it myself?

      Thanks for any input.

They are not expensive. Usually you can tell if one has blown because it cooks and you can see the burnt residue around it. They are easy to replace but you have to take care not getting them too hot. Other components may have gone too. Better off taking it to a tech. It shouldn't be too expensive to fix.
