neither...nothing sounds like an EMG.
I personally never liked EMG'S but there are many that swear by them....
in comparison the lawrence L500XL is a hotter pickup than the dd, and also middier..
I am a long time lawrence user, but dont like the XL's as much as the plain L500.
go with the DD or a plain L500.
the plain L500 is a bit brighter and the DD is very smooth.Comment
