Floyd mounting - Screws or Studs?

Which way is best?

I think the studs are because of height adjustment, but I suppose you could back out the wood screw type mounts as well.

Definitely the stud/insert type! The wood screw type will wear the hole over time and loosen up.

In a nutshell:

Wood screws sound better IMO, but the stud/ insert nethod is more stable, esp. on softer woods like Basswood... I don´t consider the height adjustment to be a factor, because you´re supposed to play the guitar and not set it up 24/7 [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
