Truss Rod adjustment

I just did my first truss rod adjustment after finally getting an understanding of how it works. My charvel Spectrum had fret buzz at the 1st fret and the action was pretty high from the 12 fret onwards, so all I needed to do was release the tention a little on the truss rod(about 1/8th) and wow! no buzz and action is great!
