Model 4 wiring

I bought a new stereo jack for the model 4M I purchased a couple of weeks ago. It was missing the output jack. Following the wiring diagram stickied to the top of this section everything went smoothly, except. The guitar is constantly on the volume does not work. I can switch pickups, adjust tone everything works but the volume control.

Bad volume pot? The rest of the wiring looks stock and untouched. Help I'm stumped.

If you can post a high resolution pic of your control cavity I/we will look at it for you.

it seems like the volume pot is bypassed:
if you take a close look at the VOL pot, you'll notice 3 attachment points, where the middle should normally be connected to the output jack.

Thanks pebber, after a closer inspection there was a wire off of the volume pot. All's well now.
