EMG 81 in a Model 3 - will I have to route the bod

I'm thinking of putting an 81 in the bridge position and was wondering if there'll be enough room, or will I have to dig out my wood choppin' tools.

What year model is it? A 1986 model with the pickgaurd, you'll have to file out some of the hole in the pickgaurd. I am not sure about the 1987-88 models.

If it has the Jackson humbucker with a plastic cover there will be more than enough room for a EMG-81.

shit, just take off the plastic covers and use some alcohol or googone to get the glue off and those pups will scream!
