• Tone pot working backwards.... huh?

Finished wiring my 2-hum mutt exactly according to the schematic from SD's website. Works/sounds great except for one thing. The tone knob works opposite of how it should. Turning it clockwise decreases the treble and counter-clockwise increases the treble. I mean, it's really no biggie cuz it functions as it should but the anal side of me just has to question why. Could it be the pot itself?

You've wired it backwards. Take whatever is on the far left lug and swap it with the far right. This will fix it.

Thanx, Pete. I'll give it a shot.

Man, I've been so busy at work and completely exhausted when I get home I didn't even want to look at it. Here's the schematic I used but without coil spitting and with a 3-way lever switch:

              SD Schematic

I used a Hovland cap with the green wire soldered to the middle post of the tone pot and the red wire soldered to the left post (with pot upside down) of the vol pot. I wish SD would illustrate the pots just as you see them when you're looking in the cavity.

Well ain't I a dope! Thought you were razzin' me cuz it's not that big a deal, which it's really not, cuz the Custom/Jazz combo sound better with the tone turned almost all the way down. I AM a lil' bit anal, though.
