Replacement necks

Anybody have good/bad experiences with companies pedaling aftermarket necks and bodies?

I know of WD, Allparts, Warmoth, Musikraft, and I know there are others. Any ones that are recommended above the others, or that one should stay away from completely?

AFAIK, only WD makes a Jackson-compatible 24 fret replacement neck, if that's what you're going for. Someone here posted a blurb about it somewhere.

Warmoth's 24 fret Baritone Conversion Strat neck will fit nicely on a 22 fret Chavel 375 body, though.

Thanks! Didn't mean to ask a q that was already addressed. Just noticed as I was checking out parts sites that I believe Musikraft actually makes a neck with a 2 1/4" heel, which is to be a Jackson/Charvel compatible one. I just know that Warmoth has a good rep, but there are a lot out there that are crap...

I've heard (can't confirm) that places that sell replacement necks either do a bad fret job or non at all. They assume once you build the guitar you will take it in for a pro setup and level anyway.

Because of this worry, I've stuck to lightly used OEM necks. I figure they had to have been playable at one time, but of course that's no guaranty.

I just got a custom Tele neck from Warmoth, it is beautiful. birdseye maple with jumbo frets. very good workmanship.

Just a note here. Warmoth is looking for Jackson necks. It's posted on the board. Their website say's "looking for a DK1. I don't know if the DK1 is a 2-1/4" or not?
