• Replacing a vintage trem with a Floyd

I have a luthier that I trust that I want to install a Floyd into a body that has been routed for a 6 screw vintage trem. I understand that the body will have to be routed for the Floyd. Will the 6 screw holes show after the Floyd has been installed? Any pros or cons to doing this?

Nope, I have 4 o 5 that were std trems modded for OFR's. Shouldn't be much body routing at all either. Usually only a hair so the base of the bar can rotate underneath the Floyd baseplate.

Just remember to tell your guy to set up for a non recessed route if that’s what you want otherwise they may get router happy and route it for a recessed trem

The pro's are you'll have a trem that actually stays in tune and you won't have a gaping hole that Kahlers leave.
