Seymour Duncan question...

I have an old zebra colored Duncan that says has a sticker that says "JBJ" on the backside... Is this a regular JB pup?

I installed it in the bridge position of my ESP Mirage Custom just now... and it seems to sound great!

I believe that on the older pickups, the third initial, in your case "J", is the person who wound it.

Mid 90's, but a lot of people swear that the older pickups sound better than the newer ones. No logo gives you a fighting chance on finding a good one.

you landed yourself the best JB you could IMO. i have several JBs new and old and one JBJ and i swear that MJ at the duncan shop has magic hands b/c it does sound better, sweeter you could say than the others.

Do F spaced ones sound good as well, or only the regular spaced?

i've never used or found a trembucker JBJ. i'd love to get my hands on one but no luck so far. all my tremspaced JBs are newer. the only JBJ i have is regular spaced.

I tried buying on on the bay this week, but lost. I'm wondering if it was not really tremspaced as the person said. JBJ on the back, however.

Btw, I got this pickup from the beat old RR I won on ebay, it was in the neck position, under a cover. And the bridge was an oldschool EMG 81... none of this was mentioned in the auction, so I guess I'll see it as a nice bonus! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

, but does it really make any notable difference? Mine sounds fine to me, even though it's on a guitar with a floyd trem!
