JT-580 Takeuchi help

I know a JT500 and JT590/Schaller are direct swap but are a JT500 and JT580? I didn't think they were the same post spacing. If they are, what about a JT580LP?

They are the same post spacings but the base plates are bigger/wider on the 580s and the LPs saddles stick out further.

So if you were going to replace a non-recessed (like a JT6 on a model 6...), I know a OFR is a direct swap but could you put on a JT580 (or LP) in place of a JT6?

only if you replace the block with a 42mm one. I did take a jt580 and swap the block with an OFR one and it worked fine.
