hey guys. making myself look like an idiot here, but im stumped on this. what i have is a single hum, one volume, one tone, and a 2-way micro switch for a coil-tap. i had it all wired up before with a Dimarzio (x2n), but i swapped in a Duncan JB and now i cant seem to get it to work. i've got green and bare soldered to ground, red and white soldered together and isolated, and black is to one side of the switch with the other hot to the volume pot. looks right, but nothing! according to Seymour Duncan's diagrams on their website its correct as well. any thoughts? i'd appreciate it, and feel free to call me a retard. Re: Single Hum with coil-tap problem
Don't know what Duncan diagram you looked at, but the Red & White are the ones that go to the tap switch. The Black goes to the volume hot side. Like this:
