One side only notched floyds

I have been looking to get a chrome Lo Pro floyd and keep seeing these, with one straight side, I have never played one like this, just wonder if it makes a difference, seems like as long as one side is anchored it should be okay, but still seems a little hokey, any thoughts

that's what bc rich used for years. gotoh makes their floyds like that. no worries; it kinda helps with odd floyd spacings.
