tips or info about replacing my Model 4 PU's?

Hey I pulled out the old Model 4 and it told me I needed to replace it's PU's...It is a H-S-S with the middle S removed...I want to get the SD EVH and was wondering what you guys thought for the neck Single coil?

Also anything I need to take into account before tackling this job...much appreciated!

Mhmm it depends on what sound you want. If you want decent cleans but enough output for soloing, then maybe a SD coolrails with a coil split. If you want to stay with a SC, maybe a Quarter Pounder?

Make sure you get a single coil without the little "tang" on the bottome edge. I believe the Model 4 has a route just the size of the humbucker.

I would suggest a Duncan lil '59 for the neck.
