Jackson Replacement Necks

Has anyone tried these necks? I am looking for a replacement for my DXMG and the price is right, just not sure about the fit, playability and workmanship.
Thanks,

Re: Jackson Replacement Necks

These also sell on E-bay under the name TNT Guitars. The Specs on the neck are as follows:

JACKSON STYLE NECK, NEW, MAPLE WITH A BOUND ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD.
HEEL WIDTH IS 2 AND 3/16.
NUT WIDTH IS 1 AND 11/16"
24 JUMBO FRETS
SHARKFIN PEARLOID INLAYS
FLOYD ROSE NUT ROUTED
25 1/2" SCALE
SIDE DOT MARKERS

Any ideas on whether this will fit on a DXMG?

Thanks,
-Sol

not sure, but interesting that they're bound. that's pretty cool. i'm pretty sure they're mighty mite necks (they sell a lot of their stuff). judging by the smaller overhang, it should be a true 24 fret neck.

Yeah the binding is nice, especially for the price. I've never seen a Mighty Mite neck with 1-11/16 Nut and binding. Guess I'll just buy one and see if it fits.

Jackson STYLE necks. The "STYLE" scares me off (fit / finish issues?).

Good luck, let us know if it works.

i've got a MM jackson style neck. it's not too bad. a little thinner than i'd prefer, but it's fine.

i'm with Don, whenever something says "style" it worries me a bit.

well, any company other than jackson would have to say "style," ya know?

I have one, i bought because I had the body laying around and needed a 24 fret neck cheap
I was truly surprised on the quality of the neck and the fretwork

Re: Jackson Replacement Necks

See Jackson has the "Jackson" neck pocket. I'd be worried these necks won't intonate properly because of the neck being too far forward or back.

i hear ya don, but usually the 24 fret necks that i've seen have a retarded-long overhang, and this one seems to be in proportion to a true 24 fretter. if the price is right, it could be a decent pick up.

the heel is correct for a jackson 24 fret body (that was the reason I bought this particular neck)

I've got one as well, I too was suprised at the quality. I have yet to string up the guitar it is going on as it is in the refinishing stage. The rosewood on mine was pretty light. A little Stew Mac fretboard stain took care of that though. The inlays have a highly figured look to them just like the pic too.
