it depends on your tastes in tone really what amps you use. I'm not a fan of superduper high output pickups (invader) but a few that I think are killer are Duncan Custom-Custom, JB, Duncan Distortion. For DiMarzio's its Super Distortion, Tone Zone and EVO all for bridge postions. The necks are a different thing Duncan Jazz, 59 or Dimarzio PAF

Seconded, a Dimarzio PAF in the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge. Awesome pair in a Les Paul.
Now when you guys say Duncan Custom which one are you referring too the 5 11 or the 14.
I put a 14 into my Jackson snake (maple body) and it sounded horrible.
I put the Jb back in and now I have a Custom 11 that I am
going to put in, supposedly better for "brigher" sounding
guitars which mine is.
Reading the descriptions on the duncan site for a Mahogany
body the SH-5 would probably work best.
Depends on what type of sound you are looking for. I've got a Schecter Blackjack w/ stock JB and '59 (mohogany body, rosewood board, maple neck). It sounds awesome w/ those PUs. Actually, I haven't yet found a guitar I don't like the sound of a JB in.
