I have a KV2 that the tremelo sticks in a certain position. When I dive bomb it doesn't return to the intune home position. The same thing goes when I pull it up. Do I need new springs? My other KV2 has different springs in it and doesn't have this problem.

Is this an older guitar? Could be that the trem posts or knife edges are worn.
It could also be thicker paint (like a glob) in the trem cavity. See if it's hanging up on the cavity somewhere, or remove it and sand the entire cavity around the baseplate.
However, it sounds more like the knife edges or the posts have worn down a bit.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Ya, it was caught up un the trem cavity. It seems the holes drilled for the posts were drilled too far forward so I ended up taking a dremel to the areas where it was caught up on. Now it plays great. Thanks for the info.Comment
