Why Lower E buzz's...........? .....found why!!!!!

Couldn't figure why the lower E buzzed on the Charvel 6. So removed all the strings - I know not supposed to do on a floyd type tremolos, so & look around the nut & it just fell off after push on it. So I expoxyed back in, now no buzz. I guess the glue dryed up & the nut was loose???

Just curious, how much epoxy did you use? Did you go the length of the nut?

very little on the back towards the fretboard & the bottom, but not so much to change the height in any ways. (yes thinly the full length on both areas). Couldn't figure why the E buzzed, luckily the nut fell off when I removed all the strings. Usually I only change one at a time not to screw the floyd up.

The nut may have been vibrating against the fretboard when you played an open E. Did it vibrate all the time, or just when played open?

Open string muting wasn't bad, the worst when E string chords or single notes...........
