If a guitar body has been oiled, are there any issues with painting it, in terms of the paint taking to, or reacting with the oil?

Re: Painting an oiled body
Good question. I know for a fact that you can paint over a Danish Oiled wood 72 hours after it has been oiled. Right now I'm painting over an oiled mahagony and I don't know what type of oil was used. The grain filler and primer/ sealer seem to be adhering fine so far. I think with a good wipe down of Naptha you should be fine IMO.Tone is like Art: Your opinion is valid. Listen, learn, have fun, draw your own conclusions.
