Floyd nuts (Charvel M3 again)

OK, so this will tell y'all how far I got with the Kahler fulcrum on my Model 3... any reason I should consider using a R4 (narrow string spacing) nut instead of the R3 when installing a Floyd on a MIJ Charvel? I want to stay as close to the stock string spacing as I can. Should I just stick with the factory string lock? Thanks.

Pretty sure that R3 is narrower than R4, and would be closer to the original spacing. Putting a floyd nut on there will be an improvement, but it's tricky to do it right. I'd have a pro do it.

Oh yah...'the R4 is significanlty wider. Even if the holes line up, it'll probably stick out on each side. R4 is wider all day long.
