I asked this question before without aid of pictures and have never really gotten an answer. So, like many of you, I have multiple C/J guitars. However, two of them have Floyd's that sit higher than normal. One of my PC1's has this issue. The set up is fine. The action is great. But the Floyd just sits up kind of high. It cannot be lowered for the fact that the strings would then be sitting on the board. In othr words, the Floyd will not sit flush with the top of the guitar. It's difficult to see in the pictures but there is a small ridge of wood ( kind of like stairs ) where the bridge pins mount into the body. It's really not that big a deal but my question is...why? I may need a little help with the pics.
