Wiring question: Treble loss with vol roll-off

I remember someone mentioning at some point that they wire the volume pot(?) in a special manner to avoid losing treble (or at least losing less treble) when rolling the volume back. But I can't for the life of me remember what the mod is called, or how it is done. Help?

RS guitarworks offer an A frame (a group of resistors wired together) to help the sound to not get muddy when you roll of the vol.It comes with there kits.Its helps keep the clean highs when the vol is lowered.

I've done this to a few of my guitars as well and it works great. I went with the 0.002uF cap. Anyone remember when Torrez Engineering used to send out their free tech letter back in the 80's? That's where I first got this tip.
