  • Another Wiring Question

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for 2 Humbuckers, 2 Volume, 2 Tone. No switch. I've checked all of the usual suspects - guitarelectronics.com, emg, seymourduncandiagrams.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to use the standard LP configuration, except solder both hot ends from each volume to the output jack instead of to the 3-way switch.
Basic guitar wiring diagram with 2 humbuckers, 3-way lever switch, two volumes and two tone controls. Click diagram image to open/view full size version.   Ready to get started? Thanks MM II, I'll give that a shot. I'm trying to stay away from adding a 3-way.

How about using a push/pull pot to switch between the pickups, or two push/pull pots as individual on/offs so you get all possible combinations? You really want to run them both all the time?

By turning the volume all the way down on one pickup, you could play the other by itself and vice versa. A weird idea, but it would work......just would be inconvenient IMO.

Ya, thats the idea. Use the volume to control the pickup selection. It's on a 5 string bass. I'm going to fool with it Monday, I'll let you know how it turnes out.

A project guitar of mine (low end ibanez) has no volumne, tone, or switch on it.

Instead there's a round rocker switch used as a killswitch.

the guitar is either on at full volume and tone, or muted.

I may mod the rest of my guitars this way. it's always fun to experiment with different mods.

You'd probably do better with a Blend pot rather than two separate volumes, but whatever floats your canoe.
