router bits/pickguards

hey guys i want to started making pickguards from blanks but i dont know what router bit i need to do the outline cutting? i have the 45deg cuter,counter sink and a 1/4 router i was going to buy a 1/2 diameter cuter with the templet guide but i wont be able to get the edges in the pickups right?.... should i use a 1/4 cuter if so were can i buy one?

any tips would be great also

Yep, you'll definitely need the 1/4" bit. If you're going to do EMG direct mounts you'll even need an 1/8". Don't ask me how I know this.
