Pickup Identification

Hi all,

Ok those anoraks out there that know everything. It's time to show off your ultimate anorakness.

The J-90C ceramic pickup is obviously identified by the printed sticker on the back saying 'J-90C'. If this sticker were to be missing how might you identifiy it as a J-90C?

In short is there any visual difference in a J-90C from other Jackson pickups? If not what test could be performed to find out which model it was? (maybe impedance test???)

exactly. it should be around 16k ohm. it's the 2nd highest of all jackson pickups.

15.93 K to be exact, although that is the same as the J-90. The inductance for the 2 pickups, however, is slightly different.

is there a page missing from that catalogue? The J80C refers to the J80 but doesn't show it. It doesn't show the J50 either.

Thanks for the confirmation Nazgul. I was hoping there would be a way of telling without having to actually have it and a multimeter infront of you. See I haven't bought it yet.
