  • Which color parts for gibson

Okay, Ive got a Les Paul special on the way. It is this model.

For some reason, the one Im getting has no 3-way switch ring and black speed knobs. Ive found the gold knobs (I prefer them) on ebay and the switch ring too, from the same guy(Are they gold or amber?). The problem is that Im not sure on the color of the ring. Would you say that the trim on that guitar is white or cream. Hes got both but the cream looks really yellow.

I asked him about this and he said that the pic is an accurate representation of the actual color. Is this the proper ring for this guitar? Or is this some cheap part that will not match the actual guitar parts. Also, do you think a local music store that has a lot of guitars would have such an item in stock? I remember looking for a trem cover for a strat a few years back and all the local places looked at me like I had 3 heads or something. Heres a pic of the actual guitar.

Also, sorry, does anyone know if these tuners will fit on this guitar without having to drill out the holes bigger? Its got the vintage kluson type things right now.

I'd say the pic on ebay is way off (unless some wierd made i
n Korea one), the cream color one is exactly like pickup
color cream, like dimarzio, duncan. If you have a cream
or zebra colored pickup then you'll know the color. The
hardware does look cream to me. The white stuff is really
bright! It looks like a wierd scanner scan to me. I don't
have a cream switch plate but here's a pic of a cream
gibson jackplate & switch knob. I have alot gold knobs,
PM if you want these Gold Gibson tophats.
