Tune-o-matic bridge question

sup guys, just got my first non floyded guitar since i was 14. a gibson flying V.

i wanted to to know if i take the bridge off to take the pickguard off, would i have to unscrew the bridge hight adjustment wheels or will the bridge just pull off, once the strings are removed.


i'm replacing the pickguard to keep the stock wiring and pups intact and drop in an EMG loaded pickguard so i can restore the axe to stock fairly easily.

I think it just pulls off when the strings are off. That's what happens on my RR5....

AFAIK most (all?) TOM bridges are like this.

The std. TOM bridge just sits atop the threaded posts that attach to the body of the guitar. When you loosen your strings, you should be able to just take the top bridge off the posts.

It just pulls off. Just make sure you put it back on the same way..
