i have been searching the net for a replacement of a js30 dinkys trem and i have come across a gotoh or schaller trem.

and i was wondering has anyone had any experience wiht these?

i am considering the gotoh cause i hear they are pretty good plus the price difference.

any body give me some words of wisdom??

    cheers
    steve

I´d go with a Schaller over a Gotoh.

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.

Are those prices in pounds? 170 for a Schaler? Is that $320 U.S.?

Ahh the wonders of exchange rates.

              CD in US: $14.99

CD in UK: L 14.99 (pretend that L is a pound sign)

I have some understanding of it, like our minimum wage is $5.15/hr, UK's is 5L/hr (i may be wrong on this but it was somewhere around there in scotland last year). So even though the pound is worth more, they also make more, so costs end up looking about the same. Or I may be full of it.

that's what I was thinking... $200 or less for an OFR plus shipping and taxes should still be cheaper than the Schaler.

No, they ain´t bad at all... but I´d still place one as number three behind a OFR and a Schaller.
