  • Rewiring a DK2M

    Guys,

Need some wiring advice. I want to rewire a new DK2M from its standard 3-way (B-BN-N) to a 5-way with coil splitting. See the link/diagram below. I've wired this setup on another guitar and it's great:

Guitar wiring diagram with 2 humbuckers, 5-way 4-pole lever switch, one volume and one tone control. Custom 5-way switching: 1. Bridge Series Humbucker 2. Bridge Single Coil (South) 3. Bridge Humbucker + Neck Humbucker 4. Neck Single Coil (South) 5. Neck Series Humbucker Click diagram image to open/view full size version.   Ready to get started? Now, unlike the other guitar, I want to add series/parallel functionality for each pickup via push-pull pots (volume for neck, tone for bridge). See the link/diagram below (2nd column, 3rd down, "Series/Parallel"):

Questions: How do I make the connections between the 5-way and the push-pulls? Should I first connect the pickups to the push-pulls, then the push-pulls to the 5-way? *PLEASE* be specific if possible.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.
