Scale length??

Another stupid question!! How is the scale length measured?? Is it from the the nut to the end of the fretboard?? Or.....

Nut to bridge. Or just measure nut to 12th fret and double it.

This is the most accurate way, as the distance of each saddle may vary a tad when measuring at the bridge.

I measure both to make sure some twit didn't put a 24.75 scale neck on a 25.5 body or vice versa.

Not to mention a 24 fret neck on a body made for a 22 fret neck
