Filing slot on floyd nut?

I’m looking to buy at a Japanese PS-4, for some reason the slot for the high e string is noticeably (can feel when fretting) higher than the slot for the B string. Has any one filed a slot down on a floyd nut or had a luthier do it? Can this even be done with out industrial strength tools?

You should be able to do that with a nut file, or needle file easily.

You would also have to file the middle part down flat right? so the string clamp will still work right?
