alright, i have a delema
I was suppose to get my bass painted by my school, but i droped the shit out of the one they have there, so now i need to refinish theirs.
Its a crappy 5 string yamaha, so i though about going through mark but he'd do way too nice of a job and isn't worth wasting that much money.
So heres the thing, my uncles owns a car painting shop, so i figured i can get him to shoot it for free, but i need to get it prep first,
the ding is all the way to the wood
its only a bolt on so i figure take off all the hardware and start from there
ive read multiple times its never a good idea to take the finish all the way down to the wood.
WHERE DO I START???????
the current paint job looks like a coat of clear over the wood a coat of black and a coat of flat silver. i guess i could do the same scheme.
