I'm in the middle of deassembling my Kahler flyer to give it a through cleaning. I need to remove the saddle section of cleaning. I noticed that it is held in place by a steel pin running the width of the trem. How am I supposed to get the pin out of there to remove the saddles?

Don't do that. First off, once you remove it will never be the same. Two, you have to keep all the parts in order once they came out. And C, just soak the sucker with WD40. I have a Flyer on a Hondo and the last thing I would do is take it apart.I am a true ass set to this board.

Hey dude..don't listen to Fett...he's old and getting senile :ROTF:
Our very own SLO100 (Bret) did a good post on cleaning a Kahler, and it is found in this link, look midway down the page:
Hope that helps you out some

There is only one way to remove the pin...it's threaded on one side if I remember correctly....once it is full unthreaded, you have to use something to tap it out from the other side of the bridge.
I rebuilt a early Jackson Dinky Strat's Kahler from the cam up before, it's not too hard, just have to be careful...

Actually the pin should be slotted on the opposite side of the bar socket. You'll need a very small regular screwdriver to loosen it. Once that's done, enough should be sticking out to get a hold of it.Dave ->
