Hello, I have a jackson DK2L, recently bought it, I figured that when I have to change a string I have to cut the top part of it, like the round part like in Daddario strings it's in different color for different strings, I have to cut it off and then pull back a screw with an alkey and insert string from the front and then tighten the screw again. Is that the way to put the strings or is there some other way to do it? like where I wouldn't have to cut the top part off.

Yea, you just cut the ball end off (and that little extra part), and unlock the string clamp (on the saddle) and put the string in there, then lock it, then feed it through the tuning post as you normally would.
PS. It's much easier to do one string at a timeJackson SL2H (nebula) '08

One more addition...
On the wound strings, (since you have to cut through the windings)
I tin the end with solder to keep the winding from unraveling.
Had this happen in the past.
YMMV
