Well, got my balls back :ROTF:
My new input jack was a little bigger that the original one so I had given it a little extra push to get it in. Appeartly, when I did so, the jack must have somehow grounded itself out on itself...don't ask me how. So, when I rehooked it up, I placed a little shimmy under the plate so I wouldn't bend it when I tightened the screws. I am in total heaven now.
Thanks for the suggestions/ideas...I basically hooked up my guitar cable directly to the pickup and worked back from there...eliminating all possibilites. Took about 2 hours but it was definately worth it.
